MONTHLY INTENTION

Embodied Living

Embodiment emphasises being in the world as a bodily, relational, and felt process.

It explores how human experience, knowledge and identity are grounded in the lived body rather than existing solely in the mind or as abstract consciousness.

It highlights how awareness arises through sensory perception, posture, movement, breath and affect.

Here, presence isn't merely attentional or cognitive, but is enacted through the body engaging with its environment.

Learning, healing, and transformation occur not just through reflection, but also through changes in how one moves in the world and relates to others over time.

Many contemplative traditions understand the body to be a site of insight, discipline, and transcendence, where the sacred is encountered through breath, ritual, sensation, and connection.

Tuning into this understanding about the body helps us access greater expressiveness, and allows us to live with intention and alignment.

This month, we meditate on collective embodiment.
